| Sabitha Prabhakaran
Sabitha is a recent Ph.D. graduate with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2008, a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from Texas State University in 1999, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baylor University in 1997. Sabitha has 4 years of experience in the biotechnology/biomedical field. She was born in Zambia and grew up in Arkansas and Texas. Her parents are educators and have spent their entire lives educating young minds to appreciate the complexities and beauty of life in general. |

Brooke H. Russell
Brooke is a recent Ph.D. graduate with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. She received her doctoral degree from the Texas A&M Health Science Center in 2008 and her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University in 2002. Brooke was born in and grew up in Texas and Louisiana and married her high school sweetheart in 2003. She sees the fun in science. Brooke believes a non-science person can understand complicated science concepts through fun and unique comparisons to everyday situations. |
Brooke and Sabitha live in the Houston metroplex, where they consider themselves regular women. They believe It’s Genetic, through its GeneticArt can bring out the scientist in everyone. They also feel that through It’s Genetic, the younger generations can grow up appreciating the science in our lives.
